Gary F. Gilmore has faithfully served at Wiley Mission since 1984, continuing the legacy of his grandfather, Rev. John Hackett, the organization’s founder. A graduate of Mid-America Nazarene University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Gary brings both a heart for ministry and a strong leadership foundation to his role as President.

For Gary, Wiley Mission is far more than a place of work—it’s part of his family heritage. His parents dedicated over 40 years to the ministry, and many of his siblings served with the same unwavering commitment. That legacy lives on today through Gary’s leadership, the faithful service of his wife, Adelina—a Registered Nurse at Wiley for over 37 years—and the active involvement of all six of their children, who have served or continue to serve in various capacities at the Mission.

Gary is deeply committed to Wiley’s core mission, which reflects the heart of Matthew 25:35: “I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in.” This verse continues to guide the organization’s purpose and Gary’s own approach to compassionate, Christ-centered leadership.

Personally, Gary draws daily strength and direction from Proverbs 3:5–6, which encourages him to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  These words have shaped both his spiritual walk and his decades of service.

Beyond Wiley, Gary extends his passion for ministry globally through his service on the Board of World Gospel Mission, reflecting his commitment to servant leadership and missions outreach.

He and his wife are the proud parents of six children—five daughters and one son—and the joyful grandparents of four granddaughters and two grandsons. Together, they remain devoted to faith, family, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.
